The Grapes Theory:Beyond What We Have Already Known From DID
If Self of a human being can be described as “a bunch of grapes” analogically, then the grapes can be depicted as the different personality traits. For a normal human being, those grapes are well-developed and tightly interconnected, those grapes however, are under-developed and separated for the DID patients. As the environmental hazards may severely damage the grapes, which cause the grapes to separate, so do the traumatic childhood experiences interrupt the growth and development of the various personality traits, which is believed as the most important psychopathological cause for the underdevelopment and dissociation.

Now, following the “Grapes Theory”, what are the grapes from a bunch of grapes stand for? Do we really know at where are the various personalities of a DID, and at where is the unconscious claimed by Freud? Listen with heart to what those DID alter personalities have taught us about the “Spiritual Space”, which is further beyond the scientific, traditional, and well-known “Mind-Body” theory, and which coincidently, is also talked about by Dr. Stephen Hawking. It is so obviously that only through complete comprehension of the “mind-body-spiritual” concept, we can then empower DID ego states, facilitate their harmony relationships among alters, and promote new well-integrated functions.
